Skippa takes aim at Malie Donn in new “Detox” music video
Jamaican dancehall artiste Skippa has released the official music video for his latest single, “Detox,” a track that sees the deejay firing lyrical shots at fellow artiste Malie Donn.
Produced by Rich Together Ent, Don Money Records and 1DarkMan, with composition by Caado Beatz, the single is accompanied by visuals directed and edited by Bankroller Visuals.
Throughout “Detox,” Skippa questions the originality of his rival’s music, suggesting that Malie Donn’s songs have become repetitive while contrasting them with his own style and success. The track also carries recurring themes of loyalty, authenticity and distancing himself from fake or toxic influences.
The release follows Malie Donn’s “Back 2 Basic,” with Skippa using “Detox” to continue the lyrical exchanges that have fueled discussion among dancehall fans. The two artistes previously collaborated on “Code Life” in 2025 before their relationship reportedly deteriorated.
The official music video also includes a tribute to the late selector Sky Juice, paying respect during one of the video’s closing scenes.
The official music video for “Detox” is now available on YouTube.
