Caribbean Music Awards 2026: Full Winners List Revealed As Dancehall And Reggae Take Center Stage

The full winners list from the 2026 Caribbean Music Awards has now been revealed following the inaugural Trinidad and Tobago edition of the ceremony.

The fourth annual event took place at the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA) in Port of Spain on September 19 as part of the three-day Elite Weekend Experience.

After the ceremony, the complete results have now been finalized across more than 40 categories covering Dancehall, Reggae, Soca, Bouyon, Zess, Jab, Konpa, Chutney Soca, Dennery and other Caribbean genres.

Dancehall Field Delivers Major Results

Dancehall was one of the strongest sections of the awards.

Shenseea takes Female Dancehall Artist of the Year. Valiant takes Male Dancehall Artist of the Year.

Prince Swanny earns Dancehall Album of the Year for Saint, giving Trinibad a major moment on the international awards stage.

Ayetian takes both Dancehall Best New Artist and the Dancehall Impact Award. Ding Dong wins Dancehall Performer of the Year.

Masicka takes Dancehall Video of the Year for “Rich Sex.”

The biggest song-related result comes from Moliy, Silent Addy, Skillibeng and Shenseea. Their “Shake It to the Max (FLY) [Remix]” wins both Dancehall Song of the Year and Dancehall Collaboration of the Year.

Reggae Brings Out Veteran And New Voices

The Reggae categories also produced a strong mix of established names and emerging talent.

Buju Banton is named Male Reggae Artist of the Year, while Lila Iké takes Female Reggae Artist of the Year.

Chronixx wins Reggae Album of the Year for Exile. Protoje takes Reggae Song of the Year for “BIG 45.”

Lila Iké and Masicka also take Reggae Collaboration of the Year for “Romantic.”

Cholita wins Reggae Best New Artist, while Keznamdi receives the Reggae Impact Award.

Caribbean Music Across Borders

The awards also highlight the range of Caribbean music beyond Dancehall and Reggae.

Lady Lava wins Female Soca Artist of the Year and Zess Artist of the Year. Kes takes Male Soca Artist of the Year and Soca Performer of the Year.

Yung Bredda and Full Blown win Soca Song of the Year for “The Greatest Bend Over,” while Full Blown also takes Soca Video of the Year and the Soca Impact Award.

Nicki Minaj appears among the winners through “Eskimo,” her collaboration with Trinidad Killa, which takes Soca Collaboration of the Year.

Bad Bunny wins Latin Caribbean Artist of the Year.

V’ghn wins Jab Artist of the Year, while Mr. Ridge takes Bouyon Artist of the Year. Joé Dwèt Filé wins both French Caribbean Artist of the Year and Konpa Artist of the Year.

Special Honors

The 2026 ceremony also recognizes several major Caribbean cultural figures.

Patra receives the Lifetime Achievement Award. Calypso Rose receives the Elite Calypso Honor, while Alan Cavé receives the Elite Konpa Honor.

Shyne receives the Global Ambassador Honor.

Alkaline also takes the People’s Choice Award.

The 2026 Caribbean Music Awards ultimately brings together different generations, territories and sounds under one platform, with the Trinidad and Tobago edition expanding the ceremony beyond its previous Brooklyn home.
