DJ Frass Launches “Group Chat Riddim” With Mavado, Shenseea And Nigy Boy

DJ Frass is back with a new dancehall juggling called the “Group Chat Riddim.”

The project brings together Mavado, Shenseea and Nigy Boy. Each artist brings a different style to the same dancehall rhythm.

DJ Frass has also taken a staggered approach to the release. Nigy Boy opened the rollout with “Phenomenal” on August 28. Shenseea followed with “Tightness” on September 4. Mavado also released his flagship single, “Group Chat,” on September 4.

The release also comes during a strong run for the young singer. His breakout song “Nomad” helped raise his profile around the world. That song appeared on DJ Frass’s “Party Bus Riddim.”

DJ Frass brings back the juggling format

The “Group Chat Riddim” follows a classic dancehall formula.

One producer creates a rhythm. Several artists then record their own songs over it.

DJ Frass has used this format before. His “Lock Down Riddim” brought together several major names, including Shenseea. His “Party Bus Riddim” also featured Nigy Boy.

With “Group Chat,” Frass is once again using different artists to show the range of one production.
