Malie Donn’s “Van Cleef” Trilogy Dominates Dancehall as Part 3 Surpasses 1 Million Views
Malie Donn’s “Van Cleef” series has become one of the standout Dancehall releases of 2026, with the Jamaican artiste turning a successful single into a three-part run that continues to attract major attention across streaming platforms.
The latest instalment, “Van Cleef Pt. 3,” is already showing impressive numbers. Released in October, the official audio surpassed 1 million YouTube views within its first six days. Its early performance reflects strong demand for the latest chapter, even before the arrival of its anticipated official music video.
The Trilogy: Three Releases, One Major Chart Moment
The series began in June with the original “Van Cleef,” produced by Attomatic Records, Salkey Recorz and El Crook Empire. Its combination of trap-influenced Dancehall production, luxury references and street-focused lyrics established the direction for the releases that followed.
Part 2 arrived in July, extending the concept while bringing Dan Sky Records further into the production picture. Rather than relying entirely on the original’s momentum, the follow-up gave listeners another instalment and kept the series active.
By October, Malie Donn returned with Part 3, bringing together Attomatic Records, Salkey Recorz, Crook Empire and Dan Sky Records. The collaboration connects the production teams associated with the earlier releases, giving the latest instalment a sense of continuity across the trilogy.
The official audio quickly gained traction, surpassing 1 million YouTube views in six days. The upcoming official music video now has an opportunity to extend that momentum and give fans another visual chapter to connect with the record.
Malie Donn’s Execution Keeps the Series Moving
A major part of the trilogy’s appeal is Malie Donn’s ability to maintain a recognisable sound while giving each instalment its own identity. His rhythmic delivery, sharp phrasing and confident performance help carry the trap-influenced instrumentals without making the three releases feel like simple copies of one another.
The recurring Van Cleef references also give the songs a recognisable identity. The luxury imagery sits alongside the street-oriented subject matter, creating a contrast that runs throughout the trilogy.
A Rare Chart Sweep
The series reached a significant milestone on the Apple Music Jamaica chart. On October 31, all three songs occupied the top positions, with Part 3 at No. 1, Part 2 at No. 2 and the original at No. 3. The same podium sweep was reflected in the November 3 chart snapshot.
DancehallMag also reported that the trilogy had surpassed 30 million streams across digital platforms, with the first two releases accounting for more than 8.7 million Spotify streams combined.
A three-song mix featuring all three “Van Cleef” releases is also available from DJ Kilo Frass.
Anticipation Builds for the Part 3 Music Video
With the official audio already surpassing one million views in less than a week, attention is now turning toward the official music video for Part 3.
The audio’s early performance gives the upcoming visual release a strong starting point. Listeners are already familiar with the record, while the trilogy’s chart performance has helped keep all three songs in public conversation.
The music video could introduce another wave of attention through its visual interpretation of the track, additional social media circulation and renewed interest from fans of the earlier instalments. However, its eventual performance will depend on how effectively the visuals connect with the audience and sustain the song’s current momentum.
For Malie Donn, the “Van Cleef” run represents more than three successful releases. It demonstrates how a recurring musical concept can keep an artiste’s catalogue active, encourage listeners to revisit earlier records and create anticipation for the next instalment.
With Part 3 already setting the pace, the upcoming video has another opportunity to extend what has become one of Dancehall’s most talked-about release series of 2026.
