Newly Released CCTV Shows Knife Attack on Turkish Businessman at Café

Newly released surveillance footage has captured the shocking knife attack on Turkish businessman and social media personality Alaaddin Çağlıköse inside a café in Kayseri, Türkiye.

The attack happened on July 22, 2026, in the Erenköy neighborhood of Melikgazi district. Authorities have since detained seven people as part of the investigation.

CCTV Captures the Attack

According to investigators, Çağlıköse was sitting at a café with his brother, Mustafa Çağlıköse, and several friends when a suspect suddenly approached the table.

Surveillance footage shows the attacker allegedly stabbing Alaaddin Çağlıköse before fleeing the scene. The suspect then ran away as panic spread throughout the café.

Both Alaaddin and his brother suffered injuries during the attack.

Brothers Receive Medical Treatment

Emergency responders transported the injured brothers to Erciyes University Medical Hospital, where doctors treated their injuries.

Hospital staff later discharged both men after completing their treatment.

Police Arrest Main Suspect

Investigators said the suspects attempted to escape by switching to a different vehicle after leaving the scene.

Police later tracked them down and detained seven individuals believed to be connected to the attack.

After court proceedings, the alleged attacker, identified as H.Y. (23), was remanded into custody. The remaining six suspects were released under judicial supervision while the investigation continues.
